Rina Nicoletti Gouthro
Distinguished Co-operator Award Recipient
WHEREAS
Rina Nicoletti Gouthro has been employed at Dominion Credit Union for fifty-five years and has given longstanding service to the credit union movement in Nova Scotia. During her career, she assumed the Manager position thirty-eight years ago, helped guide the credit union through significant growth, and served in numerous leadership roles within the movement, including as President, Secretary and Treasurer for the Local Managers Association, while also serving on several committees of Atlantic Credit Unions;
AND WHEREAS
As a resident of Reserve Mines, Rina has remained deeply committed to her community. Contributing to the Dominion Development Committee, The Hawks Dream Field, Marcia Fiolek Playground, and the Dominion Heritage School.
Rina has been honored at a supper reception held by the Dominion Italian Community Hall, where she has served for over 50 years, for her accomplishments and community spirit.
Her dedication has also been recognized through her induction into the Cape Breton Business Hall of Fame and by citations from Cape Breton University and the Sydney and Area Chamber of Commerce.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
That the Nova Scotia Co-operative Council, on behalf of all co-operatives and credit unions, express our gratitude and deep appreciation to Rina Nicoletti Gouthro for her contribution to the Nova Scotia co-operative movement by awarding her the 2026 Distinguished Cooperator Award and inducting her into the Distinguished Cooperator Hall of Fame.
